Ibrahimovic must show some respect – Boli

‘Ibrahimovic must show some respect’ – Boli

  • The Champions League winner has hit out at the striker's words earlier in the season and says that there have always been great players at the Parc des Princes
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been criticised by Marseille’s Basile Boli for showing a lack of respect to Paris Saint-Germain’s history.
The Swede said previously that the club only became a force when he joined in 2012, yet the former centre-back, who scored OM’s winning goal in the 1992-93 Champions League final and is now acting assistant boss at Stade Velodrome, has hit out at the striker.

“I want to come back to the words of Zlatan Ibrahimovic on the history of PSG,” he said after Marseille booked a place in the Coupe de France final against the capital side by beating Sochaux 1-0.

“Many great players have marked the history of the club. I was a ballboy at the Parc and I saw Mustapha Dahleb and Safet Susic, who were exceptional players. PSG were champions with Gerard Houllier. We have to show a little respect to those guys.”

PSG have won Ligue 1 on six occasions, in 1985-86 and 1993-94 before scooping the last four crowns.
