Adriano inks one-year extension at Barcelona

  • The Brazilian, whose contract was set to expire in the summer, has put pen to paper on a new 12-month deal despite making just seven La Liga appearances this season
Adriano has agreed a new one-year deal with Barcelona.
The Brazilian's contract was due to expire in the summer but he has exercised the option to extend it by another 12 months.

Adriano has made 18 appearances in all competitions for the Catalan giants this season, with just seven of those coming in La Liga.

However, Adriano has taken up the option of prolonging his stay at Camp Nou, extending his contract until June 30, 2017.

In a Barca statement, the club said they were "delighted with the player's decision".
